bold fatih
Bold faith was used by champions like manna from heaven. They knew their faith was the gridiron glory moment they used to help them succeed or fail; win or lose; carry the trophy in glory or go home the loser. After spending countless hours, in the rain, the heat, the freezing snow, conditioning the body, the mind, the spirit, and the sacrifices away from their families, businesses, and personal needs, defeat seemed an unacceptable take home pay off. Unfortunately, it is the cost we risk. Sometimes, it is a glorious reward, and often it is utter defeat.
Men and women throughout our history have given us examples of how God has used the lowliest of men, to be the mightiest examples of power, leadership, humbleness, Christlike, love, kindness, and great community providers. God chose ordinary people to do extraordinary things; people like your next-door neighbor, who you would not expect had anything magnificent to offer the world, let alone the community you live. God chose people like Moses, Ghandi, Mother Theresa, Martin Luther King Jr., Reverend Billy Graham, Joan of Arc, Johnny and June Carter Cash; just everyday people following the will of God.

While I am no Ghandi, I stepped out in Bold Faith in 2012 to begin a nation-wide tour to film a shattering the silence tour documentary, and hosting free conferences across the nation, with other advocates, to teach communities how to protect themselves against predators. I left with little funds and toured the USA and Canada until 2014. I stayed with business partners, truck stops, and rest areas. I ate a lot of peanut butter sandwiches, and bologna sandwiches along the way. All a long the way, God led me to different stops where I was needed. I stopped in MT, at a truck stop, and played pool upstairs where a lady, who recently married, had a teen age daughter acting out, and only felt safe at grandma’s. I gave her some resources to use for her daughter. At my stop in NH, it was 5 a.m., where I encountered the night shift clerk in distress. After talking with her, learned she was wanting to commit suicide because she had been sexually assaulted. I worked with her that day and went with her to the hospital that night. Unfortunately, she had no one else there for her. They found care for her and I left after she was in good hands. While in Boston, A beautiful soul happened upon our conference and was so moved. She said she knew God meant for her to be there. We have been friends since. She donated funds to allow us to arrive to our next stop. The entire journey was like that until I went home to care for family.

You might say, you could never have faith like that, but you do. You use it everyday with the people you know. You anticipate they are who they claim to be. As a matter of fact, you put your trust in that. You might say, you have faith they are who they say they are. When they get behind closed doors, you really have no idea who they are. Do you?

All you need is the faith of a mustard seed. With that small amount, you can close your eyes, place your hand in God’s hand, and take a walk. He will not let you go. Out of all the things in life I have been through, I know I could not have made it without God. Go ahead, take a deep breath, let it out, and take this Bold Faith thing for a test drive. What have you got to lose?
